Verisma's Record Jacket System is built using Microsoft's Internet architecture and a SQL Server backend. The front-end is a mix of XML, COM+ and other supporting development languages. The system is built from the ground up with security and privacy of data in mind. Using the latest cryptography methods, all sensitive data is protected whether it is being stored on servers or distributed over the Internet.
The Record Jacket System uses Microsoft's Windows 2003 operating system for the server environment and requires Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above. In hospitals and larger clinics, the system runs on the institution's own servers. The Full Service Series used for smaller physician practices and medical offices uses Windows XP professional and, where necessary, access to centralized records is gained through Verisma Systems' data centers via secured Internet access.
